Variously a consultant, entrepreneur, researcher, musician and artist, I am lately interested in belief, government, ethics and, especially, theories about the biological roots of altruism and trust, and how those ideas are reflected in the modern world.
My name is derived from the name of the mathematician, Paul Erdos, who is known for athletic contributions to graph theory. Graph theory is all about connectedness, so I like the notion when tied to blogging. I once thought I had an "Erdos Number" of 5 or 6 (how many coauthors are you away from Paul Erdos; a six-degrees of separation-style game), but I think my number is actually 4. Still, I keep the 56 because I once blogged under Erdos56 and others may want to locate me again someday. The image above is a tiny little view of art rendered from my very own DNA...
My weekend ended with marvelous news: a new funding round for my startup effort! The final terms are still under negotiation, but it should serve as an excellent next step for critical phases of R&D towards a large-scale, online knowledge management technology.
Meanwhile, my 9-year-old has been spending a remarkable amount of time on YouTube...
